چکیده
Abstract With the increasing volume of container freight transport, future port planning is crucial. Simulation models provide a means to gain insight in effects terminal expansions. Detailed simulations incorporate berth allocation: assigning vessels time and location at quay wall, where vessel loaded unloaded. This article develops decision for both offline preliminary online recovery this plan during simulation. First, we develop an optimisation-based approach that incorporates realistic aspects—cyclic arrivals, tidal windows, minimisation draught low water periods—in order cyclic baseline allocation plan. The can proactively slack increased robustness. Exploiting constraint-based solver, obtain optimal or satisficing solutions year’s operation large port. resulting used as basis arrival times. However, disruptions occur, such loading times varying from planned. Hence, second, real-time disruption management model. multi-level heuristic reacts while minimising perturbation original Computational experiments with high-resolution simulator show our finds good until tipping point disturbance. Results also when expected occupation higher, strengthening robustness has importance. described implemented major European inland port, forming simulation-based support tool operational exploring expansion options.

a study on rate making and required reserves determination in reinsurance market: a simulation
reinsurance is widely recognized as an important instrument in the capital management of an insurance company as well as its risk management tool. this thesis is intended to determine premium rates for different types of reinsurance policies. also, given the fact that the reinsurance coverage of every company depends upon its reserves, so different types of reserves and the method of their calc...

a study on thermodynamic models for simulation of 1,3 butadiene purification columns
attempts have been made to study the thermodynamic behavior of 1,3 butadiene purification columns with the aim of retrofitting those columns to more energy efficient separation schemes. 1,3 butadiene is purified in two columns in series through being separated from methyl acetylene and 1,2 butadiene in the first and second column respectively. comparisons have been made among different therm...
Simulation of a Neutron Detector for Real Time Imaging Applications
Monte Carlo Method is used to simulate a double layer gadolinium-amorphous silicon thermal neutron detector. The detector fabricated in pixel array configuration has various applications including neutron imaging. According to the simulation results, a detector consisting of a gadolinium (Gd) film with thickness of 2-4 ~m, sandwiched properly with two layers of sufficiently thick (-30 ?µm) hydr...
متن کاملTidal Electricity Generation by Turbine in Shahid Rajaee Port: A Numerical Simulation
Nowadays, energy extraction from sea waves as a renewable energy source has been increasingly considered. In addition, the growing demand for energy as a result of development of industrial activities, air pollution caused by the use of fossil fuels and greenhouse problems caused a new challenge for humankind. Tidal energy is a type of energy that is derived from converting the tidal power of t...
